Naana Jane Finally Reacts To Amidu Criticism On Her Role In Ahwoi’s ‘Working With Rawlings’ Book

Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has explained her role in Prof Kwamena Ahwoi’s book, ‘Working With Rawlings’.

This comes after Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu criticized her for writing the foreword of the book

Amidu claimed that she did a shoddy job and breached standard scholarly protocols by playing the combined roles of editor and reviewer.

In a reaction, Naana Jane told Citi TV that she was surprised at the reactions her contribution to the book received because that was not the first she had ever written a foreword.

“This is not the first forward I have ever written in my life but this is the foreword that has received such reaction. A foreword is not a critique. It is not an introduction. It is not an analysis. When you are doing those kinds of assignments there are different ways you go about them,” she said.

She added, “the foreword simply introduces the essence of the book.”
