Mahama’s Incompetence Speaks Louder Than His Words – Bawumia Jabs Again

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that the former President John Dramani Mahama has nothing new to offer as his ‘incompetence’ has already been registered in the minds of Ghanaians.

The Vice President while addressing the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday said “Promises are one thing but deeds and actions are another. Actions speak louder than words and John Mahama’s record of incompetence has already spoken loudly.”

The former President in his bid to seek re election has been making numerous promises on how he and his government intend to better the lives of Ghanaians should they be given the nod on 7 December 2020.

However, in the interaction with the youth on the International Youth Day, Dr Bawumia said the former President should stop acting like a new candidate because he has already been tried and tested by Ghanaians.

“Former President Mahama is not a new candidate. He is a known candidate who was in office for 8 years as Vice President and President.”

“What the youth of this country should ask is, what did John Mahama do for the youth in eight (8) years of government,” he asked.

The Vice President added, “President Akufo-Addo has demonstrated an understanding of the issues faced by the youth and he has done something about it,” Dr. Bawumia added.

“His second term will, by the grace of God, be transformational for this country with the youth at the center of that transformation.”
