Mahama Will Lose 2024 Elections If He Retains Naana Jane As Running Mate – Analyst

Mr. William Owusu Ansah, a political analyst, has predicted that if former President John Dramani Mahama chooses Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman as his running mate, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose the 2024 election.

He told Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm’s Frontline that the decision would give the New Patriotic Party (NPP) a better chance of winning the presidential election in 2024.

He was responding to a revelation by North Tongu MP Okudzeto Ablakwa that Mr. Mahama would retain the former education minister as his running mate.

However, the analyst believes that if the NDC settles for Jane Mensah by mistake, victory in 2024 is out of the question.

Mr. Owusu Ansah stated that the party must move on and forget about the female politician, no matter what she may have contributed politically to the party.

“The NPP will rejoice if Prof. Jane Opku Agyemang is chosen as running mate. 

That would be a mistake on the part of the NDC.”

He claims that the NDC’s track record does not support the retention of a running mate in an election.
