Mahama Will Lose 2020 Elections But It Will Be Close – American Research Firm Predicts

An American Research outlet, Fitch Solutions has predicted a win for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 polls.

The firm however believes it will be a close contest between the two leading parties, NPP and NDC.

With barely 62 days before Ghanaians visit the polls, Fitch Solutions explained that a prudent economic management will play in the advantage of the incumbent NPP.

Senior Country Risk Analyst in the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), William Atwell said in his analysis that, “In terms of who we expect to win the elections, really the incumbent [NPP] is expected to benefit from the fact the economy has been fairly well managed for the past several years. And our base case scenario suggests that he will remain in the office for another term.”
