Mahama Should Be Writing Books Instead of Eyeing Presidency Again – Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has said former president John Dramani Mahama should have gone on retirement by now while resorted to writing books on his political career.

According to Obiri Boahen, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should be threading the path of the Ahwois and Obed Asamoah and other retired Politicians who have chronicled their journey in books.

Speaking on Hello FM, he said, “you were not taken off power through a coup but through the ballot box. By now you should be writing your books. You should be writing books like what the Ahwois and Obed Asamoah and other retired Politicians have done in chronicling their journey.”

Obiri bBoahen added that it came as no surprising that the NDC elected John Mahama to lead them again because they had nobody else.

When he was prompted that the Mr Mahama had already written one book, he said he had read it but the book is not as interesting as that of Kwamena Ahwoi’s book that chronicles his political life and relationships he has built politically over the years.
