Pius Enam Hadzide, Deputy Information Minister has criticized former president John Dramani Mahama for lacking knowledge on the Agyapa Mineral Royalties deal, insisting the NDC flagbearer is only joining the bandwagon for politics.
Speaking on Starr FM he noted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer is only playing mere politics with the deal and just joining the flow because everyone is talking.
“Mahama lacks understanding of the deal and I think that for someone who wants to lead this country he is only playing mere politics and joining the bandwagon,” Pius stated.
He added “Agyapa deal was discussed on the floor of parliament so is that what someone describes as opaque? If we are looking at opaque deals, let’s talk about signing off 70% of our bauxite to his brother [Ibrahim Mahama].”
Meanwhile Mr Mahama has insisted the deal is shrouded in secrecy and an NDC government under his leadership will not recognize it.
