Lawyer For Akuapem Poloo Fumes Over #FreeAkuapemPoloo Initiative; Says Celebrities Are Worsening the Situation

Counsel for Rosemond Brown (Akuapem Poloo, Lawyer Andy Vortia has admonished celebrities championing the #FreeAkuapemPoloo movement on social media.

According to him, some comments of these celebrities are harsh and could only worsen the plight of his client in court.

Speaking on Peace FM, lawyer Vortia noted that the case of Akuapem Poloo can only be argued in court and not on social media. He shared his disagreement with the #FreeAkuapemPoloo movement insisting she has not been jailed in the first place.

Her (Akuapem Poloo) fate is in the hands of the judge now, [the judge] will confine herself within the parameters of the law. The law says she can be fined, jailed or both…I as the lawyer will be pleading with the judge in court and not on social media…” Lawyer Andy Vortia said.

“This is a normal mandatory test she has to do, so, nobody has jailed her. So, me, that free Poloo…, I disagree. Nobody has jailed her…,” he noted.
