The Ward Coordinators in the La Dadekotopon Constituency have rejected a publication carried by this portal on January 11, 2025 to the effect that Nii Amasa Namoale, a former Member of Parliament for La Dade Kotopong and ex-Deputy Minister, is engaging in tribal politics ahead of the La Dadekotopon Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) selection.
The report arose from allegations surrounding a meeting which was said to have been held between the former deputy minister and ward coordinators in the constituency, however, the ward coordinators have strongly rejected the allegations, insisting that the report is highly misleading.
According to the Ward Coordinators, who jointly signed the rebuttal, their meeting with the former MP was to discuss the way forward for the constituency in the wake of the NDC’s victory in the 2024 election, as well as to discuss the welfare of the party’s grassroots.
Mr. Namoale, according to the ward coordinators, even refused to comment when asked about his thoughts on a potential MCE candidate. They therefore asked that the allegations to the contrary should be treated with contempt.
Below is a copy of the statement from the coordinators:
