Just In: Supreme Court Dismisses Tsikata’s Application To File Supplementary Statement Of Case

The Supreme Court Panel hearing the 2020 election petition have dismissed an application by counsel for the petitioners, Tsatsu Tsikata to grant him leave to file a supplementary statement of case in support of an earlier application he had filed seeking a review of the court’s dismissal of his earlier application for interrogatories.

After about 30 minutes of argument led by Mr Tsikata in support of his application, and subsequent counter arguments by counsels for the 1st and 2nd respondent, the court rose to consider its ruling.

The court subsequently dismissed the application after they resumed sitting minutes later.

The court has accordingly directed for the substantive review application to be heard.
