Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has revealed that journalists of Accra-based Joy FM, flagship of the Multimedia Group, are in the pocket of President Akufo-Addo’s infamous cousin, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko.

In a flare-up on radio over Joy FM’s supposed newfound agenda to sabotage the Akufo-Addo government over the government’s refusal to be forthcoming on the need to “take care” of journalists from the Station, Mr. Agyapong revealed people from Joy FM have been frequenting Mr. Asare Otchere Darko’s home.

“Me I told Gabby and the rest that the people at Joy FM are complaining, but I met people from Joy FM at Gabby’s house; what did you go to do there, what did you go to do there? You want to destroy the nation,” Ken Agyapong revealed.

The rhetorical question captured in Twi interspersed with English was suggestive that these “Joy FM people” he met at Gabby’s house went there to be paid.

Ken Agyapong had been livid about the “Joy FM people’s” newfound agenda to sabotage the NPP government because the government has refused to share the spoils of office warning that that agenda will boomerang on the heads of those “Joy FM people.”

According to him, the station’s owner, visited him at his office to personally warn that his workers are complaining about the government not taking care of them and that in retaliation they have decided to sabotage the Akufo-Addo government.

But he warned that if Joy FM goes ahead with the sabotage, they will end up laughing at the wrong side of their mouths.

“(with the) false reportage from Joy FM, they have to be careful. Today, read my lips, I tell you that your boss, my in-law, he came here and told me plainly, today I am telling it as it is to you, all the things that you are doing. You say the NPP people do not take proper care of you and so you will sabotage them, it will boomerang on your own heads,” Agyapong warned.

“It was your boss who said it, the owner of the business told me plain that the people at Joy FM say NPP is not giving them proper care and so they will sabotage us; tell your boss if I’m lying, then I will remind him that he came to my office here; he said.
