The foundation de Loterie nationale de Côte d’Ivoire(LONACI foundation), the arm responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility in the Ivorian Lotto Regulatory Body has made a donation of 30,000,000 CFA, equivalent to about $60,000 to the Good Causes foundation of the National Lottery Authority.

Head of Loterie nationale de Côte d’Ivoire(LONACI), Dramane Coulibaly pledged the said amount during the official launch of Caritas by the NLA on October 20, 2021.

Redeeming the pledge on behalf of her boss at a brief ceremony held on November 19th, 2021, Madam Traore Epse Diabate presented a cheque to the Director General of the NLA, Mr. Sammi Awuku at the Headquarters of the NLA in Accra.

Madam Diabate used the opportunity to outline some of the activities undertaken by Foundation LONACI, especially in the areas of Health and education.

On his part, Mr. Sammi Awuku expressed gratitude to Foundation LONACI for redeeming their pledge within a short time.

Mr. Awuku specifically expressed his appreciation to his Ivorian counterpart for his tremendous support since he assumed office as director general of the NLA earlier this year.

Mr. Sammi Awuku, who had earlier paid a working visit to the Ivory Coast to familiarize himself with their lottery business was full of praise for the foundation LONACI whom he describes as well structured.

Mr. Awuku accordingly urged the Management of the Good Causes foundation to visit and familiarize themselves with the activities of their Ivorian counterparts.

The Good Causes Foundation, though launched just last October, has already made significant strides, having already settled the medical bills of a number of people.

The foundation also supported Ghana’s representative at the Maiden edition of the CAF Women Champions league, Hasaacas ladies with some cash, while also providing support for Children of some Lotto Writers and other Individuals.

Present at the ceremony were; Mr. Ernest Motey, Director of Finance, Madam Ama Frimpomaa – Deputy Coordinator – Good Causes Foundation, Mr. David Nkansah Anto, Manager – Good Causes foundation, Ms. Judith Kormle, Head of Corporate Affairs Department, among others.
