It’s Abnormal To Sign A Deal Without Thinking; Something Is Wrong With This Government – Prof Azar Reacts To Sputnik V Saga

Prof Stephen Kwaku Asare, also known as Kwaku Azar, a private legal practitioner has opined on the explanation given by the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu on why he entered the Sputnik V vaccine deal.

Although the deal has now been abrogated, Prof Azar cannot understand why it was signed in the first place.

The Health Minister had told a Parliamentary Committee that he was not thinking when he signed the deal because he was overwhelmed by the ipact of the Covid-19 and wanted a vaccine for Ghanaians at all cost.

Reacting to it on Facebook, Prof Azar wrote “It’s not normal for a minister of State to sign a multimillion dollar contract without thinking.

“It is even less normal for thinking people to justify a contract that was signed without thinking. And it is utterly abnormal to assume that things are normal under these circumstances. Something is wrong!” he added.

Prof Azar joins a tall list of personalities who have been condemning the minister for his act.
