“I’m Coming To Continue The Good Works Of Akufo-Addo” – Alan Kyerematen Assures Ghanaians

John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former minister of trade and industry, has assured Ghanaians that he is running for president in order to carry on the good job started by incumbent President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“Since Nana Akufo-Addo has done such amazing work while in government, it is critical that we elect someone who can carry on the work. The NPP needs me to lead them and achieve victory, so I’m willing to sacrifice myself for them, he said.

According to him, the NPP cannot afford to lose the 2024 election in light of the Akufo-Addo-led government’s programs, such as One District, One Factory, Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, among others, therefore naming him the flagbearer will be best for the party to stay in power.

If you take a look at policies like One District, One Factory, Free SHS, Agenda 111, and many other things like planting for food and jobs, Nana Akufo-Addo has done his best, according to him.

He maintained that the NPP had a responsibility to persuade Ghanaians to vote for the NPP by designating President Akufo-Addo as its flagbearer “to continue with the good job,” he said.

About five other NPP members, including Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Kennedy Agyapong, the former Energy Minister and MP for Assin Central, Boakye Agyarko, the former Agriculture Minister, and Kwabena Agyapong, the former General Secretary, will compete for the position of flagbearer.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has also received support for the job, but he hasn’t declared his candidacy yet.
