I’ll Quit Politics If NPP Doesn’t Break The 8 – MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem, Honourable Solomon Ebo Appiah, has revealed that he will quit politics if the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) does not win elections in 2024.

“If the party does not win power in 2024 I will resign from politics or if I don’t win the parliamentary sit in my constituency I will not take up the MCE role. I am making this pronouncement here”, he stated.

He further said that NPP needs certain people at the regional and constituency level to break the eight.

“I wish they go unopposed but our constituency does not permit it. No one should end up being an internal opposition member if the election does not go as planned’’. This according to him has been the attitude of some party members.

Most NPP party members are singing the praises of breaking the eight, as much as this possible; there is the need for grassroots members, appointees, and Members of Parliament (MPs) to play their role effectively, to ensure, that breaking the eight is materialized.

He spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on the “Movement In The Morning” show on Tuesday, 24th May 2022.
