I Won’t Tolerate Disrespect From Slay Queen Jean Mensah; She’s Like Akuapem Poloo – Furious Adam Bonaa Fires
Electoral Commission chair, Madam Jean Mensah has invoked the wrath of security analyst Adam Bonaa after she played down on allegations of challenges with data of security personnel who submitted their details for special voting.
Mr Bonaa, one of several security analysts to raise concerns over the failure of the EC to compile the data of all security officers who were billed to vote under special voting because they will be working on election day; adding that over 60% of the applicants could not be captured in the EC’s data for special voting.
In reaction to the claims, Jean Mensah in a press conference said “I know very few security experts like Dr Kwesi Aning and so on. They are for me security experts, I don’t know this expect and I’m not sure where he is getting his 60% from.”
Adam Bonaa who did not take the reply lightly noted that the EC boss shows some level of disrespect in the way she goes about her duties.
“The way she’s going after anybody who criticizes her to me is probably reducing the confidence that one would have had going into the 2020 elections. My belief and resolve are that we have an election to prosecute and not an election to persecute. In any case, I’m not an employee of government, you are an employee of government. It’s my tax payment that’s used in paying your salary.
“It’s come out, let’s know how you arrived at your turn and let me know how I arrived at my 60% or more but you don’t come out and denigrate and throw jabs at me. Is she, therefore, saying that the figure put out by myself and the team is totally false or what they have is smaller or less?. As far as I’m concerned, I stated a certain position based on facts available to me. She came to say the statements made by myself are false so what’s the truthful position of the EC. I will not take any form of disrespect from a slay queen electoral commissioner. I will equate Jean Mensa to Akuapem Poloo”.

Akufo-Addo Threatens To Sack Ministers Over Flagbearer Campaign
President Akufo-Addo has threstened to kick out ministers in his government who continue to engage in flagbearer campaign activities few months into his second term.
Disclosing this on Asaase Radio, the New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) General Secretary, John Boadu said “President Akufo-Addo, in his capacity as the President of the Republic of Ghana, has made it clear that anybody that he finds to be distracting his government as a result of his or her ambition, he would not hesitate in getting them out of his government, so that they can concentrate on their presidential ambition or whatever.
“Sometimes it is very difficult for me to talk about these things but it looks like that is what we are to do. So we are putting forward some proposals to the [NPP] National Steering Committee quickly by this month we would be at a National Executive Committee to fashion out some guidance in order to allow government work to go on.”
“What it means is that it would get all and sundry to understand that there is no point in testing waters now whether by their assigns or by they themselves or whoever and there would be very punitive sanctions if one decides to disobey such a measure”, Mr Boadu noted.
