Former TV3 journalist, Bridgette Otoo, who is now an unofficial Communications person of the opposition NDC has explained the reasons that led her to the NDC.

In an interview with renowned media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah on Starr FM, the Communications consultant explained that she was forced to take a stand for the NDC because of sympathy when she realized the media was Subtly biased against the Party.

She explained that while she was still at TV3, she had the opportunity to cover both John Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo on the build up to the 2016 Election.

According to her, despite the negative reportable then President Mahama received, he was always warm and welcoming whenever he interacted with personnel from the media.

Bridgette said around the same time, she was approached by some NPP officials to join the Party’s Communications but she declined citing her neutrality.

She continued that these officials took her rejection to mean that she had joined the NDC instead, and began treating her as an enemy.

According to her, defending the NDC was initially a joke but she was toughened by the insults and threats from NPP Supporters to finally make up her mind to join the NDC.

The journalist also expressed her admiration for the 2020 NDC flagbearer, John Mahama whom she described as the best man to lead the NDC going forward.
