I Don’t Know Any Town Called Umuofia – Police PRO Reacts to Nigel Gaisie Prophecy

Supt. Alexander Obeng, regional PR director of the Police service has said he has no knowledge of any town called Umuofia in Ghana.

He made this known on Adom FM when he was asked whether he knew of Umuofia, a town Prophet Nigel Gaisie prophesied about during the 31st December watch night.

The police before the watch night service had warned all prophets to desist from declaring prophesies that will cause fear and panic which had always been the norm for years now.

Making a prophecy in his church, Nigel Gaisie opted to use the name ‘Umuofia’, severally insisting that he was not referring to Ghana although regions like the Ashanti and North were named in the land of Umuofia.

Reacting to it on Adom FM the police PRO said as far as he was concerned most churches complied with the directive and doom prophecies were not heard as usual.

He said he toured various parts of the country with IGP George Akuffo Dampare but has no idea there’s a town called Umuofia.
