The Omanhene of Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Nana Otuo Serebuor II, through the Juaben Traditional Council, has reacted to rumours that he forced assembly members in the Area to kneel down after rejecting President Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the position of MCE.

Rumours were rife over the weekend with a photo of assembly members kneeling before the Juabenhene.

The photos were accompanied with captions to the effect that the Juabenhene had forced the assembly members to kneel as a means of disciplining them for rejecting the President’s nominee.

The said photos were shared by various individuals including US-based Ghanaian journalist, Kevin Taylor.

However, the office of the Juabenhene has described the rumours as vicious lies and propaganda.

The Office of the Juabenhene also clarified the reason why the assembly members kneeled before the revered traditional ruler.
