National Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has insisted that his party won the 2012 presidential elections despite the Supreme Court ruling that didn’t go in their favour.

Speaking on Kingdom FM, he said the lack of aggressive policing of ballot boxes by his party gave way for the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to manipulate the figures.

“I still believe in my soul and spirit that we won the 2012 elections, but maybe we went to sleep, so they manipulated the figures in NDC favour.”

He added, “2016, we were wide awoken, we police the ballot, we were able to collate our figures and God blessed us with victory.”

According to him, the NPP, unlike the NDC is not interested in winner by all means.

“With the leader, we have in Akufo-Addo, even in the midst of provocation, he still told us to go to court. Even in the face of order, the Supreme Court told us that we have lost the elections.”

“Nana Addo then called John Mahama to congratulate him; that shows leadership”, he said.
