I Abandoned Kufuor Because Of Akufo-Addo – Nyaho Tamakloe Reveals

A founding member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has revealed that he deserted former President John Agyekum Kufuor in order to support current President, Nana Akufo-Addo.

Dr. Tamakloe, who has now been suspended from the New Patriotic Party, in an interview on Metro TV with Bridget Otoo, stated that he took a lot of risks for the current President in those days to ensure that he becomes flagbearer of the Party and eventually, President.

Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, a former military man and medical doctor, was suspended from the New Patriotic Party indefinitely in 2016 after being accused of undermining the peace and unity of the Party.

According to Dr. Tamakloe, he initially had plans to support Mr. Kwame Pianim to the Presidency, however, he was ineligible to contest after serving over 10 years in prison. This, according to Dr. Tamakloe, is why he eventually settled on supporting Nana Akufo-Addo.
