How Twitter Reacted To Asiedu Nketiah And His Calculator Battle Against EC In Court Yesterday

It is an undeniable fact that the name Asiedu Nketiah will always be synonymous with political ingenuity in Ghana.

Having always been a friend of the media, who have enjoyed his trademark political Jabs and innuendos, and his ability to wriggle himself out of every situation with his mouth, it is without doubt that General Mosquito as he is also known, is a master of his craft.

Celebrated by his comrades, and admired by his opponents, Mr Asiedu Nketiah yesterday mounted the witness box in the Chief Justice’s courtroom of the Supreme Court, oozing confidence and perhaps armed with a dictionary of political explosives.

The General of Ghanaian politics was soon to learn though that unlike in 2013, his adversaries in the Election Petition were not going to tolerate his antics of evading questions with smart and cheeky rhetorics.

He might have thought he was just going to testify within his personal knowledge, though he soon realized he was being invited to a National Science and Maths quiz.

General Mosquito ended up with a Makola calculator and a lawyer on the other side who appeared to have nothing called Patience.

In the end, it was pretty obvious that Mr Asiedu Nketiah, though not visibly broken, had all too soon realized, that he needed to get serious, especially as he had been turned into an accountant by force.

Below is how some Ghanaians reacted to yesterday’s episode on Twitter…..
