How Do You Want Mahama To Feel With Your ‘Needless’ Book At This Time? – Kwesi Pratt Slams Ahwoi

Renowned journalist, Kwesi Pratt has chided Prof Kwamena Ahwoi for releasing his book, ‘Working With Rawlings’ at a time when the country should be focused on electioneering campaigns and political promises.

According to him, the book is a self sabotage that is likely to hurt former President John Mahama. He explained that, the book has taken attention from Mr Mahama who had been fighting hard to spread his campaign messages.

“How will President Mahama feel now? Now he’s on the backstage and all the things he’s talking about Primary Health Care and so on, nobody cares about it anymore. Mr. Rawlings who was increasingly becoming irrelevant, his fortunes are now back in the centre stage. Mr. Rawlings who declared publicly that he did not vote for the NDC and he’s not sure whether he’s going to vote for the NDC is now playing a central role. What does that do to Mahama’s candidature? This is an exercise in self-sabotage without precedent and somebody like Professor Ahwoi should have known much better.”

Kwesi Pratt further added that Prof Ahwoi’s book was needless and a waste of everybody’s time as it spoke about who was squeezing whose something (balls).

“This book is a needless book, this book is a waste of everybody’s time, this book contributes to nothing. Four months to an election, why would you launch such a book. This book is distracting attention from the main issues. We should be talking about the Promises that the political parties are making. Which Political party will make our lives better? You went and launched this book four months to an election and all you are talking about is who squeezed somebody’s something. Four months to an election and you are talking about squeezing of things.”

Prof Kwamena Ahwoi has been in the news for the past week after his book launch. The book contains some sensitive information about the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) which many believe is going to hurt their chances in the December polls.

The book, ‘Working With Rawlings’ spoke about how the NDC trained some young leaders to tame former president Jerry Rawlings anytime he spoke because they believed some of his utterances was hurting late Prof Atta Mills and almost forced him to resign as President.

Some of the young guys trained to attack Rawlings included Okudzeto Ablakwa and Kwakye Ofosu. They have both however, in a statement, distanced themselves from it.
