President Akufo Addo has questioned flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama for his promise to provide 1 million jobs for Ghanaians if elected as president again.
Former president Mahama has pledged to provide 1 million jobs for Ghanaians in the next NDC government should they be elected.
While speaking at the palace of the Wa Naa as part of his four-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region, Mahama also stated; “I will provide 250,000 jobs to the youth spanning from agribusiness, Forestry, construction, and artisans among others.”
Speaking on Oman FM in reaction, President Akufo Addo wondered how the NDC flagbearer will create these jobs when unemployment was high under his tenure.
He further quizzed how John Mahama will provide 250,000 jobs for one region alone when he has promised the entire country 1 million jobs.
Akufo Addo cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of the former president as he is only making promises to win power yet again.
