Hawa Koomson Retains Seat For NPP At Awutu Senya East

Provisional results from the Awutu Senya East Consistuency, indicates that, Mavis Hawa Koomson has retained her seat as MP for the area.

She is said to have beaten her opponent with more than more than 5000 votes to secure the seat for the NPP for another four years.

After sorting, counting and collation, the Minister for Special Development Initiatives pulled 57,119 while her major opponent from the NDC, Naa Koryoo Okunor amassed 51,551 of the total vote cast.

This will be Madam Hawa Koomson’s third term in Parliament having joined the house in 2012.
