Free Water Initiative To Be Reviewed To Last Till End of The Year – Akufo Addo

President Akufo Addo has in his 14th update on the Covid-19 dislcosed to review the free water initiative to make it last till the end of the year.

Government in April announced free water and subsidized electricity package for all Ghanaians to mitigate the impact of the Cornavirus.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta last Thursday announced in Parliament an extension of the free water initiative for three more months after it ended early July.

However, President Akufo Addo has revealed intentions to make it last till the end of the year.

“In the Finance Minister’s mid-year budget review, he, again, announced that all Ghanaians are to enjoy free water supply for another three months. I intend to have it reviewed at the end of the period,” he staed.

He also announced the extension of incentive packages for health workers by another three (3) months, i.e. July, August and September.
