Free SHS And Other Flagship Policies Would Collapse Because Of Shoddy Foundations – Management Expert

A US based Organization and Management expert Dr. Justice Salifu believes none of the flagship programs introduced by the Nana Akufo-Addo administration would survive the current difficulty.

According to Dr. Salifu who is aspiring to be the Chairman of the US chapter of the NDC, none of the flagship programs is built to withstand the shock and stress that the economy is facing.

Parents are paying for the feeding of their wards in various Senior High Schools despite the government’s insistence that the free SHS policy is working.

The government seemed to be malleable to the new arrangement despite the fact that the free SHS policy insists on “no fees” being charged by schools.

Meanwhile, the minister for Food and Agriculture has admitted that the Planting for Food and Jobs program has not been in full swing because of lack of money.

These developments, Dr. Justice Salifu says are evidence that the flagship policies were built on shoddy foundations.

He told Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation, the flagship policies are showing signs of collapse.

Dr. Salifu says there is nothing government can do to avert this imminent collapse as it does not have the funds to continue to spend on these policies.

Government revenue for the first and second quarter was not even enough to pay salaries and compensations to public sector workers and service debts.

Dr. Salifu says government should have anticipated these difficulties and introduce these policies in a manner that ensures they survive the kind of stress and threats that the country is confronting.
