Fraudster Dupes NPP’s Chairman Wontumi, Other Celebrities With Fake Kofi Annan Awards

Despite Chairman Wontumi’s outspoken personality, and vim for discussing political affairs, and attacking his political opponents, he has met his “meeter”, a supremely intelligent fraudster who was able to scam even the vice chancellor of The University of Ghana.

It appears Ghanaian public figures’ love for awards will be their ultimate undoing, as they seem to lose all sense of logical reasoning whenever awards are mentioned in a conversation.

An award scheme titled the Global Blueprint Excellence Award, which was held last week Friday, August 28, in Accra at the Alisa Hotel and was attended by a host of Ghanaian personalities and celebrities, including NPP’s Chairman Wontumi has turned out to be a well planned scam.

The mastermind of the fraud, one Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour, has been revealed to be a big time scammer who began his nefarious activities in the late 90s in Santasi, a suburb of Kumasi.

Nicknamed Santasi Wyclef, this legendary scammer is said to have been on the watchlist of the BNI for about 20 years now, having scammed some prospective KNUST students in the early 2000s.

Apart from Chairman Wontumi, some notable personalities who fell to the scam include: Captain Smart, DJ Black, Nathaniel Attoh, Natalie Fort, D Black, Sarkodie, and Professor Ebenezer Oduro (Vice Chancellor, University of Ghana).
