Fomena MP Wins Seat As Independent Candidate

Mr. Asiamah, the Fomena MP who contested as Independent candidate has defeated the NPP candidate, Mr. Philip Ofori-Asante.

According to the provisional results, Mr. Asiamah polled 12,805 votes to win the Fomena Parliamentary election.

Mr. Philip Ofori-Asante from the NPP also polled 10,798 votes while the NDC candidate Christina Ama Random had 2,608 votes.

Mr. Asiamah was the former occupant of the Fomena Parliamentary seat but lost his berth following his decision to contest for re-election as an independent candidate after he lost the New Patriotic Party primaries.
