Feel Free To Copy From NPP Manifesto – John Boadu to NDC

Published

on

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has told the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to feel free and copy the ideas in the NPP manifesto since that was what they had been waiting for before they launch theirs.

According to him, the NDC lack fresh ideas to tell the Ghanaian people and are dragging their feet to launch their manifesto, albeit hinting two months ago that it was ready and had submitted to the party executives.

They announced two months ago that their manifesto is ready but they have not been able to launch, Obviously they are waiting for us to launch our manifesto so they can copy as usual, since they have no original ideas. Well, we have launched so they are free to copy,” Mr Boadu said in his address at the party’s manifesto launch at currently ongoing at Cape Coast in the Central region.

The manifesto is being held virtually as a result of Coronavirus.

“For persons other than members of the party’s National Council who wish to participate in the event to join the feed, such persons are encouraged to converge at the various regional offices of the party where the proceedings will be projected on large screens,” the party statement said in a statement.

We’ll Treat Akufo-Addo’s Boys As Rogues If He Fails To Control Them – Sam George Warns

Published

on

Member of Parliament for the Ningo – Prampram Constituency Samuel Nartey George has called on President Akufo-Addo and Minister of Interior to call persons parading themselves as National Security Operatives but yet misbehaving to order.

Speaking on TV3’s New Day, he warned that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will treat these boys as rogues if they are not called to order because they cannot continue to intimidate citizens.

He was reacting to the violence in Odododiodio Constituency over the weekend between the NPP and NDC where scores had been injured.

He stated, “if the National Security Minister and Minister of Interior do not call these boys to order, we shall treat them as rogues on the streets.”

“They have no business firing guns and threatening people in public. They aren’t the police service. The police are responsible for our lives in Ghana not them,” he asserted.

If You’ve Been Recruited Under NABCO I’ll Take Care Of You – Mahama Pledges

Published

on

Former President John Dramani Mahama has pledged not to desert Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) recruits if he wins the 2020 polls.

Addressing professional groups on Monday, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer noted that just like every other Ghanaians NABCO recruits do not belong to any particular groups, they equally deserve good jobs and opportunities.

“The security services also revealed several opportunities. Ghana National Fire Service, 30,136; Ghana Immigration Service 3,522, Ghana Prison Service, 7,925; Ghana Police Service 35,020 vacancies and many more. Together with the private sector, we will create real jobs, not temporary and artificial jobs, so that people can live dignified lives.

“If you have been engaged under NABCO, I say to you that you belong to Ghana and not to any individual or group. You deserve permanent jobs like all citizens. The welfare of workers is also key to our national progress and prosperity,” Mahama said.
