Examination Malpractices: Remove GES Director From WAEC Board- Educationist Advises

To curtail examination malpractices, Educationist Daniel Fenyi has advised that the Ghana Education Service (GES) Director, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa should be removed from the WAEC board.

Daniel Fenyi said the role of the GES Director is to provide curriculum and assist the facilitators and learners but not to be part of the WAEC board.

His comments come in reaction to the alleged examination malpractices committed by the Dudaso SHS headmaster and staff of which they connived with invigilators to supervise grand cheating by candidates of the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Participating in Wontumi TV Morning Show on Friday, he bemoaned that examination malpractice is a phenomenon the country is confronted with.

He said it is not committed by only learners but the facilitators as well.

Daniel Fenyi urged that the learners and the facilitators should be given a stiff punishment when caught in exam malpractices.

He advised politicians to stop using the BECE and WASSCE results as campaign messages.
