Election 2020: NDC Playing Victim So That If They Lose They Can Say NPP Won Unfairly – Lydia Alhassan

Published

on

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan has claimed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been engaged in foul tactics because they know they don’t stand a chance of winning the December polls.

According to her, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been made attractive because of President Akufo Addo’s hard work and Ghanaians are looking forward to retaining them.

“The hard work of President Nana Akufo-Addo and myself in the constituency has made the New Patriotic Party (NPP) attractive and endeared the party to the constituents who are poised to retain the party in power but the NDC out of panic has resorted to peddling falsehood.

She added, “I don’t know who told them that they have a chance of wrestling the seat from the NPP, the NDC knows they will lose the elections, they have started playing the victim so that eventually they’ll say we won the seat unfairly.”

The NDC had accused Lydia Alhassan of busing people to Ayawaso West Wuogon to register in the ongoing new voter card registration.

“Our Member of Parliament, Lydia Alhassan has gone to other constituencies including Ayawaso North, Ayawaso East, Amasaman, Kasoa and other places to bring people who don’t reside in our community to come and register and at the end of the day she is expecting those people to come and vote for her which doesn’t show respect to the people in our community,” Chairman of the NDC’s Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Bismark Abuobi Aryettey stated.

He added, “We are calling on the community to reject the people they are bringing, for instance, two sprinter buses from Amasaman and the mortuary road were bringing people into our community to register, we intercepted them and we are dispersing the people.”

Donkeys Will Soon Be Legalised As Means Of Transportation After Okada – Murtala Mohammed

Published

on

Former National Secretary, of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Murtala Mohammed has criticised the idea of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to legalise the operations of okada when they win power on December 7, 2020.

In a statement, Murtala noted that only an unserious political party will consider legalising okada.

What many people dont know about this Okada is that, the motor cycle are not for the riders but some faceless petty bourgeois hiding in government parastatal like the police, military ministries and cooperate institutions.”

He said: ”If we sit aloof to allow the legitimization of Okada, we shall soon legitimize the use of Donkeys as means of transport. I say this because every business is driven by profit. If a business man will not use fuel and can reduce other expenditure like maintenance, why will he not venture into “Donkey Transport System” as a mode of transport?”

OKADA POLITICS: YOU MIGHT AS WELL LEGALIZE THE USE OF DONKEYS AS A MODE OF TRANSPORT

The notion or idea to legalize Okada is lazy venture to say the least. I just can’t imagine that as people we could decide to rationalize our inefficiencies and failures by legalizing Okada instead addressing the issue head on. This is akin to a father, who after failing to stop his nymphomania daughter, decides to start collecting money from men to have affair with her. This is a clear manifestation of irresponsibility, lack of ideas or a lazy man’s approach to the Okada nemesis.

I cannot imagine for once, how any serious party or group could conceive such an idea if not for cheap political capital.

The menace of Okada is a matter of employment. It’s an improvisation as a result of joblessness and poor traffic and transport system in Ghana. The lasting solution to it is not to legitimize it but to build a complete transport and rail system to curb it. We should not substitute the long and difficult lasting solution for a simplistic and short-cut approach to solicit vote over the safety and well-being of the youth.

If we sit aloof to allow the legitimization of Okada, we shall soon legitimize the use of Donkeys as means of transport. I say this because every business is driven by profit. If a business man will not use fuel and can reduce other expenditure like maintenance, why will he not venture into “Donkey Transport System” as a mode of transport?

What many people don’t know about this Okada is that, the motor cycle are not for the riders but some faceless petty bourgeois hiding in government parastatal like the police, military ministries and cooperate institutions.

Too much jokes in this country. #Stap it!

Jean Mensah Behaves Like ‘Maame Water’ With Her Fraudulent Filing Fees – Kofi Koranteng Fumes

Published

on

Independent presidential aspirant, Kofi Koranteng has admonished Electoral Commission boss, Mrs Jean Mensah for what he described as an outrageous filing fee for Presidential candidates in this year’s elections.

Speaking on Eboboba on Rainbow Radio, he noted that the increment is an attempt to monetize the country’s democracy and deprive qualified people from vying as Presidents.

He further labeled the EC Boss as a ‘Maame Water’ (Female Water god) and threatened to jail her if he wins power as President.

”The filing fee is a fraud and unconstitutional. I wonder why the EC had the courage to engage in such fraud and illegality. The EC should tell Ghanaians the justification behind the 100% increment. This is an attempt to weed out the qualified and competent ones from the contest. This is strange and deceptive without context. The reasons assigned by the EC for this increment is outrageous,” he said.

”The EC boss is behaving like a ‘Maame Water’ and doing whatever she wants. She is the only one who knows how to chop money. She should be sitting there and engage in such illegality. She should be prepared to go to jail when there is a change of government. She would surely be removed and stand before a court to account for her work,” Kofi Koranteng added.

Double Track: You Create A Self Inflicted Problem And Sit In Your Air-conditioned Office To Devise A Lazy Approach To Solve It – Sammy Gyamfi Slams Gov’t

Published

on

National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has described the double track instituted by the Akufo Addo led government for the free senior high school as a lazy approach.

According to Sammy, the government created the problem of insufficient infrastructure because they failed to continue the previous government projects and then lazily instituted the double track system to make up for it.

When told that Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Deputy Minister for Education had announced that the Free SHS double-track policy had increased contact hours in schools, Sammy Gyamfi responded: “He sat in his air-conditioned office, designed a double-track policy which actually is a lazy approach [at] solving a self-inflicted problem, and he is drawing conclusions based on the policy he drew in his office.”

He continued: “I am telling you the reality in our schools today that contact hours have reduced significantly. The facilities are not there, we are having double track, parents are wasting a lot of money on [extra] classes fees…and so we are not deriving the benefits that we should be deriving from the Free SHS policy.”
