EC Bow To Pressure As They Halt Leave Arrangement For Senior Staff

The Electoral Commission has reviewed its leave arrangement for staff after the public backlash and pressure from Civil Society Organisations.

The EC had announced that they would be proceeding on leave effective 23rd December 2020 to 19th January 2021.

However, in a statement on Wednesday, they’ve announced that they leave will only be for junior staff, while senior staff continue to work during the festivities and new year.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) continue to protest tirelessly against the verdict of the commission demanding a review of the Electoral results for both Presidential and some of the Parliamentary.
