Electoral Commission boss Madam Jean Mensah yesterday November 5, 2020 failed to show up in Parliament after being invited to brief the house on its preparedness towards the 2020 polls.

Members of Parliament had been waiting for several hours to be addressed by Mrs Jean Mensah, however, she failed to show up.

In a statement to explain her absence, the EC explained that the notice got to its office late, at a time some commissioners had travelled outside Accra.

It added that the EC is not intentionally boycotting Parliament stressing that it has always been fully “prepared to present its comprehensive report to the Leadership and Honorable Members of the House”.

“In agreement with the Leadership of Parliament, the Commission will present its roadmap to the Honorable Members on Saturday, the 7th of November, 2020,” the release indicated.
