It has emerged that NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama and his team were compelled by circumstances to sign the book of condolence of the late founder of the NDC at the Adabraka Headquarters of the Party, after they were unable to do so at the residence of their departed founder.

A Member of the NDC legal team, Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo, claimed that the book of condolence at the residence of the late former President was taken away by some family members after the President and the Vice president had signed.

Subsequently, the NDC opened its own book of condolence at the party’s headquarters and directed all members to go there and sign.

The NDC has also announced plans to hold a vigil in memory of their departed founder.

NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia also gave a subtle hint in a Citi FM interview that the Party may hold their own funeral if they feel excluded from the National Funeral.
