It has emerged that popular radio broadcaster, Captain Smart used the name of the Roads Minister, Kwasi Amoako Atta to dupe an unsuspecting woman of her hard-earned GHS25,000 cedis.

The said woman is said to have called into the “Seat show” on Net2 TV to complain that the popular broadcaster convinced her to part with an amount of GHS25,000 to influence the Minister for Roads to take a certain decision in her favour.

The Minister, who claims his attention was drawn later, has subsequently reported the matter to the Ghana Police for investigation.

Mr. Amoako Atta, through his lawyer, in a letter dated Monday, August 23, 2021, and addressed to the CID, Police Headquarters, urged the investigative body to cause a full-blown investigation into the allegation made by the woman. The audio clip of the woman’s submission on Net 2 TV was attached to the attention of the police.
