Deploy Police, Military To Control Foodstuff Prices On Market- Snr Research Fellow Urges Nana Addo

A Senior Research Fellow at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr Smart Sarpong has appealed to President Nana Addo to deploy the Police and Military to bring sanity on the skyrocketing foodstuff prices on the market.

According to Dr Sarpong, it’s good the President has appealed to the traders to reduce the prices but will be best to adhere to his appeal.

Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show he said, the deployment will not be in a harsh way but in a calm manner.

He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu that some of the traders intentionally increase the prices.

The Senior Research Fellow said the only benefit the traders will attain is a political interest.

He explained that it will lead to a perception that the prices of foodstuffs increased rapidly under the tenure of President Akufo-Addo.
