Current Presidential Jet Has A Life Span Of 30years; But Akufo-Addo’s Taste For Luxury Is Different – Amaliba

A member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Abraham Amaliba has questioned the logic behind government’s decision to acquire a new presidential jet despite the current one being fit for purpose.

According to him the current presidential jet has a life span of 30 years and we’ve only done 11-years therefore the decision to purchase a new one makes no sense at all.

“This aircraft I’m told has a life span of 30 years and we have just done eleven so it is a baby in the aviation industry. So, why will we be citing one or two instances where it develops a fault and based on that we want to buy a new jet?

“We all know this plane is good, it can do the long distance travel but I just think that we have a president who has a different taste all together.”
