Council Of Zongo Chiefs Declare Support For Bawumia As Race For 2024 Intensifies

The race for who leads the NPP in 2024 has intensified as potential candidates begin to lace their boots.

One of the front-runners and perhaps the most popular, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has received a major boost as the council Of Zongo Chiefs have declared their support for him.

According to Chief Musah  Akambounga, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the council, the Vice President is the right man to lead the Party after President Akufo-Addo.

According to him, it is time for a Muslim to lead the Country, and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is the right person.

Chief Akambounga charged the NPP to be the first Party to produce a Muslim President and banish the perception that the Party is an anti-Muslim Party.
