Conduct Buem Elections Again So That The People Of SALL Can Vote – Godfred Dame Tells EC

Deputy Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame has urged the Electoral Commission to take critical and necessary measures to conduct the Buem Elections again.

At a media briefing after the Supreme Court’s ruling on the injunction on gazetting John Peter Amewu as MP-elect for Hohoe Constituency, Mr. Odame said the Apex court upheld the validity of CI 128, which places Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi and Likpe under Buem Constituency in the Oti Region.

Therefore, the Hohoe Constituency needs no Parliamentary re-election as claimed by the aggrieved persons.

Mr Dame, therefore, called on the EC to conduct fresh elections in Buem to ensure that the people of Santrokofi, Apkafu, Lolobi, and Likpe are allowed to vote.
