Clever Akufo-Addo Wins Hearts Of CSOs And Neutrals With Dampare’s Appointment As IGP

Persons who have paid attention to politics in this country under the Akufo-Addo administration will by now have realised a consistent trend.

Anytime Pressure is on his administration, President Akufo-Addo does or attempts to do something to sway public sentiment.

Despite all the pressure unleashed on the government in light of the murder of Kaaka and the subsequent Ejura debacle, Akufo-Addo has still managed to pull a trick out of his hat.

Akufo-Addo’s appointment of Mr George Akufo Dampare as IGP is one that has won the admiration of CSOs and social commentators.

Though, it is a fact that many Ghanaians have always rooted for COP Kofi Boakye as IGP, those who know Mr Dampare know that he is not one to be trifled with.

Having risen through the ranks of the Police force from Constable to IGP, Dampare boasts a wealth of experience and knowledge that can be compared to none.

The only question that remains is, will he be given the opportunity to work without interference and introduce the reforms that we all yearn?
