BECE Maths Questions Leaked – WAEC Confirms

The West African Examination Council(WAEC) has confirmed that this year’s mathematics questions for the Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) written September 17, 2020 leaked.

Speaking to Kasapa News, the Director of Public Affairs, WAEC, Agnes Teye Cudjoe disclosed that she was shocked to see the questions for the paper all over social media before 9:00 am.

“The issue of exam question leakage is a huge problem for WAEC. Some of our officials in Obuasi yesterday arrested some teachers who had collected GHC2.00 and GHC1.00 from the students ostensibly to help them in the exams. All these are malpractices that should be strongly discouraged.”

She further noted that supervisors who had taken shots of the questions with their phones have been apprehended by the police and being questioned.
