Azorka Is A Useless Man; Mahama Values Slay Queen, Tracey Boakye More Than Him – Wontumi Fires

Published

on

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has descended on the National vice chairman of the NDC, Chief Sofo Azorka, describing him as ‘useless’.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, the NPP Chairman known as Chairman Wontumi stated that despite being the National Vice Chairman of the NDC, former President Mahama doesn’t place any value on Azorka.

Azorka is only good at shouting. John Mahama doesn’t value him; he values Tracey Boakye and Mzbel than this useless guy. If he valued him, he would have given him some of the houses he bought for his girlfriends”, Chairman Wontumi said.

Wontumi was reacting to a video which was circulating on social media last week in which Chief Azorka was seen declaring that the NDC will “finish” any NPP member who in the name of data attempts to take details of any NDC member.

I Can’t Be Compared To Mahama Who Cuts Sods Without Funding – Akufo-Addo

Published

on

President Akufo Addo has in a subtle jab stated he is not like former president John Dramani Mahama who goes about cutting sods for projects without funds secured.

Cutting sod for the construction of the 71.25-kilometre Enchi to Elubo road, as part of his 3-day tour of the Western North Region on Friday September 25, the President noted he only cut sods when all the process have been completed with the money available.

“When I came here a year ago, I assured the Chiefs and people that I will work hard to ensure that the Enchi to Elubo road commences. There were a number of processes, like the contractor and funding sources, that had to be completed before today’s ceremony could take place. All those processes have been successfully completed”

He continued, “I am not like some people who rush to cut sods without securing the requisite funding for the projects. I will never do that. When I cut the sod, it means all the processes have been completed and the money for the project is available. I am not out to deceive anyone.”

Western Togoland Protest Is A Diversionary Tactic By Gov’t To Take Attention Off Voter Roll Anomalies – MP

Published

on

Member of Parliament for Builsa North Constituency, James Agalga has accused the government of being behind the Western Togoland protest which happened in the Volta region this dawn.

According to him, it is an attempt to divert attention from the much talked about voter register anomalies which the EC is attempting to disenfranchise many Ghanaians.

He told Ghanaweb, “Curiously enough, only yesterday, the main opposition leader President Mahama addressed a major press conference and outlined a number of grievances in respect of this voter exhibition exercise. There has been a massive deletion of names of Ghanaians from the voters roll. President Mahama drew the attention of the whole world to these happenings only yesterday, now this morning, we are hearing of an attack, 2 police stations have been attacked. It seems to me that this particular move is a diversionary tactic”.

“The coincidence is mindboggling that the inability of our national security to gather intelligence in respect of the intention of those bandits to cause trouble in the Volta region is something that needs to be engaged in the attention of all”.

“Nothing poses danger to our national security than the deletion of the names of Ghanaians from the voters roll. We had issues of the military deployed to the Volta region to prevent Ghanaians from registering…this a ploy on the part of the security agency to cause further deployment in that part of the country and to intimidate our people in a manner that will discourage them from coming out to vote in the December elections. These are all matters that need to be interrogated properly,” he added.

It Was Needless To Call For Int’l Observers, We Run Our Elections Without Them – Mahama Slammed

Published

on

Political Pressure group, Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA),has criticised National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama for caliing on International Observers to come down to the country immediately.

This comes after the former president expressed displeasure over activities of the Electoral Commission.

“I wish to appeal to the international community, international election observers and our domestic observers; given all that has gone amiss with the electoral process and the likelihood of continued greater challenges ahead of this year’s elections, I will want to urge them to focus their lenses on Ghana and arrive earlier in the country than ever before. This will enable them to engage the EC, IPAC and all stakeholders as part of efforts to resolve these major problems with the register,” he said at a press briefing on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

In reaction, the LMVCA told Starr FM that the call was unnecessary because the EC had already admitted its flaws and have assured it’ll fix them.

He added that Ghana has been running its elections without international observers therefore their presence here won’t be needed.
