Asogli Youth Threaten To Invoke Curses On Leaders Behind Secessionist Activities

Some youth of the Asogli Traditional Area in the Volta Region have threatened to invoke ancestral curses on leaders behind the secessionist attacks in recent times.

The youth also invited the separatist groups in the region, particularly the Homeland Study Group Foundation, who have claimed innocent in the recent attacks to join them in umasking the faces behind the separatist activities.

The worried youth made this call at a press conference held in Ho on Tuesday, 6 October 2020.

According to the youth, they fully endorse the call by the chiefs in the Asogli state, calling on the warriors to complement the efforts of the Police in apprehending the persons behind the disturbances.

The youth further warned that they will invoke the gods and spirits of their ancestors to deal with any leader behind the disturbances.

“We have, therefore, initiated series of spiritual exercises in readiness for the task ahead and would invoke the gods and the spirits of our ancestors to strike any leader who is betraying the people of the Volta Region for his or selfish gains.” The spokesperson for the group, Nutifafa Degbor said.
