Armed Police Disrupt Pro-Bawumia Group Press Conference – Drag Organizers To Police Headquarters

The Ashanti Regional Police disrupted a press conference by persons loyal to the flagbearership ambitions of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

The group, calling itself Movement for Bawumia had scheduled the said press conference to address issues concerning Galamsey.

According to leaders of the group, the press conference was to address the burning of excavators.

Police stormed the premises claiming they had received intelligence that some persons intended to cause mayhem at the event.

The Police subsequently dragged the convenors of the event with them to the Regional Headquarters for deliberations.
