Political Analyst, Jonathan Asante Okyere has hit hard at Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for claiming Ghana has experienced an unparalled development at President Akufo Addo.

Speaking at the Government Result Fair at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in Accra, Dr Bawumia noted that development under the Akufo Addo government is second to none.

“We’re building all this infrastructure while staying committed to providing Free Senior High School Education, creating jobs, transforming agriculture, industrializing the economy, sustaining the National Health Insurance Scheme, digitizing the economy and ensuring public safety of Ghanaians and keeping the lights on.”

He also pointed out that government has initiated 17,334 infrastructure projects since 2017 with 8,746 completed.

Reacting to these claims, Mr Jonathan Okyere told Accra FM that he cannot tell if the Vice President sometimes live on earth or Jupiter because of how he praises his government despite the numerous hardships in the country. He chided Bawumia to take Ghanaians serious when he finds himself on a national platform and not spew political lies.

“Sometimes, when Dr Bawumia speaks I don’t know if he’s on Earth or Jupiter, excuse my language but I think he’s become too proud, it’s not right. If it is politics you’re on a political platform you can say that but when you’re not on a political platform and you’re speaking to the generality of the Ghana populace at such serious platform, he should take us seriously,” he stated.
