Another Internal War In NPP As MP Calls Minister A ‘Courageous Thief’

The NPP Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, and majority chief whip of Parliament, Kwasi Ameyaw-Keyeremeh has accused the Bono Regional Minister, Evelyn Ama Richardson of being a ‘courageous thief’.

According to the MP, his accusation is backed by solid documents and not a mere allegation.

According to him, the Regional Minister in 2018 wrote to the Sunyani Municipal Assembly claiming she had been invited by Nanaimo [a city on the East Coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada] to rekindle their deserted relationship [Sister City], which was never true.”

In an interview on Accra-based Angel FM’s Anopa Bofuor, the honorable MP accused the Minister of using the so-called trip to Nanaimo as an excuse to use state funds to attend a Rotary Convention in Canada.

Mr Ameyaw-Keyeremeh also alleged that he is aware of the fact that the Audit Implementing Committee of the Sunyani Municipal Committee Assembly had written to her to pay, even though she has refused to refund the money. He therefore referred to her as a courageous thief.
