Almost Every Gov’t Goes To IMF; Nothing Wrong With That – NDC’s Mona Quartey To Oppong Nkrumah

Mona Helen Quartey, former Deputy Finance Minister under the John Mahama administration has chided Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah for claiming the National Democratic Congress (NDC) went to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for bail out.

This comes after Oppong Nkrumah criticised the NDC manifesto insisting they have nothing new to offer since they are the same people who sent the country to IMF.

In reaction, Mona Quartey stated on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana show that there has never been anything wrong with a government seeking bail out packages from the IMF.

According to her, almost every country seeks support from the IMF at a point in time and so she sees nothing wrong with that.
