Akufo Addo Cannot Complete My E-Blocks Because He Lacks Common Sense – Mahama

Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has admonished President Akufo Addo for failing to continue projects he started insisting is a lack of common sense.

Addressing the Akatsi South Constituency in the Volta Region as part of his tour in the area Mahama said, “what we are going to do is to make Free SHS better. Government is common sense, you use planning and that is why when we started Free SHS we started building these schools 200 of them across the country. Because we knew what was going to happen.”

The NDC under the leadership of John Mahama promised to build 200 day schools across the country as part of efforts to implement what they termed “progressively free” senior High Education.

However, only about 40 out of 200 E-Blocks were completed for use as at the time the NDC were booted out of office.

This has stalled the progress of these E-blocks since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) took over. The NPP instituted the double track system to address issues of accommodation in the senior high schools.

John Mahama, however, expressed displeasure at the double track system insisting government could have just completed his porjects.

“As a leader you must have a vision, unfortunately this current president did not have a vision. You should have just continued the secondary schools we were building. You would not have had this double truck problem that you have today.”
