President Akufo-Addo has appointed National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Sammi Awuku as the Director General of the National Lottery Authority.

Mr Awuku’s appointment has been approved by the Council of State, according to Accra-based Asaase Radio.

Mr Awuku is expected to resign from his position as National Organizer of the NPP in order to accept this new appointment.

Sammi Awuku won the hearts of the NPP faithful during his tenure as National Youth Organizer of the party when he supervised a massive transformation of the youth wing of the Party.

He has also demonstrated notable competence in his handling of youth portfolios, having also served on the Board of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

Mr Awuku is expected to bring massive transformation to the NLA which has been a troubled organisation in recent times.
