Akufo-Addo Appoints Cynthia Lamptey Interim Special Prosecutor
Deputy Special Prosecutor Ms Jane Cynthia Naa Torshie Lamptey, has been tasked by President Akufo-Addo to act as Special Prosecutor until a substantive one is chosen.
Cynthia Lamptey is a lawyer of over 30 years standing at the Ghana Bar and former acting Director of Public Prosecutions.
Amidu had tended in his resignation as Special Prosecutor citing interference from President Akufo-Addo concerning his report on the Agyapa corruption risk assessment.
The Presidency has however denied any form of interference.
